Help Me Find ("we", "our", "us") operates the Help Me Find family of restaurant directory websites, including italian.helpmefind.com, greek.helpmefind.com, and irish.helpmefind.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

Information you provide directly

• Restaurant submissions — name, address, phone, email, website, and hours submitted via our Add a Restaurant form.
• Claim requests — your name, email, phone, and business verification details when claiming a listing.
• Reviews — your name (or chosen display name) and review content when you submit a review.
• Account information — your email address when you create an owner account or sign in.
• Payment information — billing details for Featured Listing purchases, processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card number.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data — pages visited, search queries, time on site, and referral source, collected via Google Analytics.
• Device data — browser type, operating system, and screen size.
• Location data — approximate city/region derived from your IP address, and precise location if you use the Near Me feature (with your permission).
• Cookies — session cookies for authentication and analytics cookies for Google Analytics and Google AdSense.

How We Use Your Information

• To display and maintain restaurant listings
• To verify ownership claims and manage owner accounts
• To process Featured Listing payments via Stripe
• To send transactional emails (submission confirmations, claim updates, payment receipts)
• To improve the directory through aggregated analytics
• To serve relevant advertisements via Google AdSense
• To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements on our search results and restaurant pages. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ad Settings.

Advertisers do not have access to any personally identifiable information you provide to us.

Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication. Data is stored on servers in the United States.
• Stripe — payment processing for Featured Listings. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Google Analytics — site usage analytics.
• Google AdSense — advertising.

Data Retention

Restaurant listings are retained indefinitely as long as the business exists. Account data is retained until you request deletion. Analytics data is retained for 26 months per Google Analytics default settings.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to processing of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
